The Konica Minolta office is located on the 2nd floor, directly facing a bright atrium that floods the space with natural light. This prime position creates an ideal setting for a welcoming front-of-house area while reinforcing the brand’s professional identity. Guided by a “people-first” approach, A.H.Co’s design provides an efficient, flexible workspace for employees and a memorable brand experience for clients and partners.
Layout and Circulation
The office floor plan is arranged around a central circulation loop, ensuring smooth, intuitive movement throughout the space. This design allows both employees and visitors to access key areas quickly and efficiently.
Front office: Reception, lounge, open meeting zones, pantry & coffee bar, showroom, and a materials testing corner. These areas set the tone for the visitor journey by combining hospitality with product demonstration.
Meeting hub: A cluster of large and small meeting rooms with movable partitions, adaptable for everything from 50+ person conferences to small team huddles.
Back office: Executive office, fixed workstations, a shared open office with flexible seating, plus a server room and dedicated storage for SCM and Marketing teams.
Materials and Finishes
Material selections were made with function, aesthetics, and lifecycle costs in mind:
Front office & corridors: Carpet for a professional and elegant impression, while reducing noise.
Back office: Vinyl wood flooring, offering warmth, comfort, and easy maintenance.
Open office: Cement-look vinyl, creating a seamless and spacious visual effect.
Storage & server rooms: Ceramic tiles, minimizing finishing costs and simplifying cleaning.
Lighting and Ceiling Design
Lighting plays a crucial role in reinforcing Konica Minolta’s brand identity. A.H.Co integrated multiple types of lighting to create rhythm and highlight key spaces:
Linear lights along corridors and work areas for a modern, streamlined effect.
Circular pendant lights to echo the brand’s identity, strategically placed at reception and lounge.
Downlights across meeting rooms and open office areas to ensure balanced illumination.
Cool white lighting throughout the workplace for a clean, professional, and focused ambiance.
Workplace Experience
The customer journey is intuitively designed: starting at a bright reception, moving through the showroom for product experience, and seamlessly into flexible meeting rooms for in-depth discussions. Employees benefit from the open office for dynamic teamwork, complemented by phone rooms for privacy and focus. The central circulation ensures smooth and efficient movement across all zones without interruptions.
Construction and Operations
In execution, A.H.Co emphasized sustainability and lifecycle efficiency. Flooring and finishes were selected for durability and ease of maintenance. Movable partitions in meeting rooms enable flexible reconfiguration depending on meeting size. Infrastructure systems – including power, network, and HVAC – were planned with scalability in mind, ensuring the office can adapt to Konica Minolta’s future growth.
